I had an MRI scan on Friday 18th February 2022 - I was extremely nervous as I have asthma and find it difficult to lay on my back but the guy who did my scan was so helpful and reassuring that I felt completely at ease. He was wonderful and the 15 minutes that the scan took just flew by! I need not have worried as I felt so relaxed. Thank you Basildon MRI department for making my time with you so stress free. I would recommend this department to everyone. Jenny Fowers

rasist enghlish nurses who ignore any patient which is not english...after my surgery i was left without food and water and when I ask the nurse to help me use the toilet she said she's not touching the patients so I needed to struggle to get there alone...when I asked for painkilles during night they came with them after 2 hours telling me that she was busy. After the surgery noone checked the wonds for 15hours until I told them I will bring in a lawyer and just then they bring in a doctor to check the wound. Worst experience ever...avoid

The only thing I would complain about was the food. It was not very appetising and the only meal which was edible was breakfast.

Vile, rude, abusive (daytime) nurses in the Kingswood Ward who speak to their patients like dirt, then when you defend yourself and ask for medication that the specialist has asked them to prescribe they call you an awkward and ‘ABUSIVE’ Patient when in reality the only abusers are them. They lied to my family and told them I’d received pain meds when I hadn’t, I was left in agony for over seven hours. I was also mocked by one of their junior doctors when I had a pain flare. The hostility is unbelievable! I witnessed some awful things during my stay and I plan to tell my story. I won’t be intimidated into not speaking the truth, that I can promise you.

I cannot praise the A&E team highly enough. From assessment through to leaving their care, they took excellent care of me. I had a broken leg, after being run over. The team and in particular the nurse Sam were professional, friendly, efficient and kind to both myself and my husband. Thank you Sam. You are wonderful. We really appreciate your service. Kind regards Patricia Bushnell

Staff in the NICU ( neonatal intensive care unit ) dont do their jobs correctly as we have been waiting for scan results for our child who is premature for 1.5 weeks for all them to say that everything is fine. Two, our child had apparently high blood pressure which was proven false; due to faulty equipment, and was taken to another room for no apparent reason and was given less food than before because of changing rooms. Which shouldn't affect their feed daily. Three the staff don’t give any updates and information threw phone as for unknown reason, and the doctors dont speak to you, so i had to complain multiple times before we got told, lastly we was giving them milk to feed out child and we got told not to bring anymore as they dont have room for 2 weeks, 3 days later they call us at 5am in the morning to say that our child doesnt have any milk at all. Where is all the milk we gave them? Another thing about the hospital was that a year before i was in A&E and the staff are rude and dont care if you have any problems and sent one of my family members home with no medication and bad muscle injuries to their leg. I dont recommend this hospital at all and i believe it should be shut down or given new staff and change in all equipment as most is old and faulty.
